Founded by Courtney (M. Bellish) Smith in 2024, GPE seeks to provide modern and accessible solutions for understanding business, finance, or economics topics as a student, teacher, or professional learner. Going Places Economics is the successor to her original blog, The Economics Of (TEO) blog.

Courtney is the Senior Assistant Director of Global Programs within Chicago Booth’s Executive Education department, specializing in finance and comprehensive management programming. She has her Master’s in Global Studies with a focus in International Economics & Consulting from Northeastern University. Courtney has a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Miami University. Additionally, she has studied Macroeconomics, International Law, and Philosophy at Harvard University and International Public Policy at the London School of Economics. Courtney is excited to delivery superior educational tools and events, made for learners of all backgrounds.
